VC is a long-time ODHC patient, and one of the sweetest people we know.
One day during a routine annual mammogram, VC was found to have breast calcifications
(calcium deposits found within breast tissue), after several additional diagnostic breast exams in 2007,
she was diagnosed with LCIS, a type of breast cancer. Despite this daunting news, she has remained strong,
and with the support of her family and friends and the ODHC staff and volunteers, she is successfully undergoing treatment.
We are extremely proud of her ongoing faith, positive attitude, and the will to remain strong,
and are happy to say she is now in remission and "feeling great". In spite of the adverse
experiences she has overcome and continues to battle, she is always willing to lend a helping hand
when needed and has actively participated in countless ODHC promotions and events. Her pleasant
attitude towards everyone she encounters and admirable fighting spirit makes her an unforgettable ODHC patient.
